Intercom Fin pricing and features: what you’ll actually pay

With the Intercom helpdesk you pay for two things: a Full seat for every teammate who replies ($29 to $132 a month, billed annually) and $0.99 for each Fin outcome, at most one per conversation. Fin on another helpdesk has no seats: a $49 monthly base plan includes 50 outcomes, then $0.99 each.

Prices read from Intercom’s official pages on Oct 10, 2026. Published by OneTwoAgent, which makes an alternative to Fin.

How Intercom Fin pricing works

Two configurations, two formulas. Which one applies depends on where your team answers customers.

A

Fin with the Intercom helpdesk

bill=Full seats × seat price$29–$132 a seat+Fin outcomes × $0.99one per conversation at most+Add-ons and channel usageonly if you use them

Seats are a fixed monthly line for the people on your team. Outcomes are usage: they rise and fall with how many conversations Fin finishes.

B

Fin with your current helpdesk

bill=$49 base planincludes 50 outcomes+(outcomes − 50) × $0.99after the first 50

For teams on Salesforce, HubSpot, Freshdesk or another helpdesk. No Intercom seats; Fin hands off inside the helpdesk you already pay for. Below the 50 included outcomes the bill stays at $49.

Intercom helpdesk seat prices, per Full seat per month
PlanBilled annuallyBilled monthlyFree Lite seats
Essential$29$39None
Advanced$85$9920
Expert$132$13950
  • Full seats reply to customers and take assignments. Lite seats are free and come with Advanced and Expert: they can read conversations they’re mentioned in, add notes and use reports, but can’t reply.
  • On some visits on Oct 10, 2026, intercom.com/pricing also showed Essential at $19 billed annually ($29 monthly). Check the price on your own quote.
  • Outcomes replaced resolutions as Fin’s billing unit on Mar 12, 2026.
  • Fin is also the company’s name now: Intercom renamed itself Fin in May 2026 and became part of Salesforce in September. The helpdesk is still called Intercom, and these prices are still published on intercom.com.

What counts as a Fin outcome?

Fin charges when a conversation ends in a result, once per conversation however many questions it took. How the conversation ends decides the charge.

Billed

  • The customer says the answer helped

    $0.99

Resolution, confirmed · “Ok thanks”, “That helped”.

  • The customer leaves after Fin’s answer without asking for more help

    $0.99

Resolution, assumed · Counts even if they leave unhappy. With Fin on another helpdesk, after 24 hours without a reply.

  • A Procedure you configured ends in a handoff to a person or workflow

    $0.99

Procedure handoff · The handoff itself is the billed outcome.

  • A teammate joins after Fin answered, and the customer never asked for help

    $0.99

    Resolution · Treated as resolved.

  • Fin for Sales disqualifies a prospect, or routes one to self-serve

    $0.99

Disqualification or self-serve routing · Self-serve routing is marked in the playbook.

  • Fin for Sales qualifies a prospect and routes them to your team

    $9.99

Qualification · For example, book a call or start a trial.

Not billed

  • The customer asks for a person, or Fin escalates on frustration

    $0

Escalated · Default escalation and workspace escalation rules are free.

  • Fin can’t answer from your content and a teammate replies

    $0

Not resolved · Not a resolution.

  • Fin asks a clarifying question and the conversation times out

    $0

Abandoned · Fin’s last message was a question, not an answer.

  • A Procedure fails, the message is spam, or the customer leaves before any answer

    $0

Escalated, spam or abandoned · No outcome happened.

  • A resolved conversation is reopened for more help

    refunded

Deducted · The earlier charge is deducted, even in a later billing period.

A handoff can be billed. An escalation isn’t.

When a Procedure you configured ends by handing the conversation to a person or a workflow, that handoff is a $0.99 outcome. When Fin hands over because the customer asked for a person, showed frustration or met a workspace escalation rule, there’s no charge. Where you put a handoff, inside a Procedure or in escalation rules, changes the bill.

This pricing covers Fin over chat and email. Fin Voice is sold through sales; intercom.com/pricing lists $1.99 per voice outcome.

An outcome is a conversation that ends in a billable result, not every conversation. How many you get depends on how often Fin resolves or completes a Procedure.

When Fin is the right choice

Fin is a strong choice when

  • Your team already works in Intercom: inbox, tickets, Workflows, Help Center.
  • You want an AI agent inside Salesforce, HubSpot or another helpdesk you’re keeping.
  • You need the AI agent on your phone lines, with Fin Voice.
  • You need Expert features such as SSO, HIPAA, SLAs or multibrand.
  • You qualify leads with Fin for Sales.

OneTwoAgent may fit better when

  • You support a SaaS product, and answers depend on the customer’s own account: plan, usage, integrations.
  • You want a flat monthly price: AI conversations, Voice minutes and unlimited teammates included, from $19 a month.
  • You support customers in a website widget, WhatsApp, Instagram or Telegram.
  • You’d rather not pay a seat for every teammate who helps out.

Replacing Fin is not the same as replacing Intercom.

OneTwoAgent isn’t a Fin plug-in for the Intercom inbox. It brings its own shared inbox, so it replaces both lines at once: your team, channels and Help Center content move to it. A public Intercom Help Center can be imported.

  • Replace Fin only

OneTwoAgent Growth: 1,500 AI conversations, unlimited teammates, flat.

Fin outcomes and OneTwoAgent AI conversations are different billing units: one AI conversation covers up to 10 AI replies, whatever the result. This compares list prices, not equal work.

Calculate your actual configuration

The calculator uses the same prices and formulas as this page. Set your seats, plan, billing cadence and Fin outcomes, then compare a OneTwoAgent plan picked by AI conversations, not by outcomes.

OneTwoAgent Growth

How much does Intercom Fin cost?

$0.99 per outcome. With the Intercom helpdesk you also pay per Full seat: $29, $85 or $132 a month billed annually ($39, $99 or $139 monthly). With your own helpdesk, a $49 monthly base plan includes 50 outcomes. 3 Essential seats and 500 outcomes come to $582 a month.

What is Intercom’s outcome-based pricing?

Fin is billed per outcome rather than per seat or per message: a conversation that ends in a resolution, a configured Procedure handoff, or a Fin for Sales routing. It costs $0.99 (qualifications $9.99), at most once per conversation. Escalations, failed Procedures and abandoned conversations aren’t billed.

Is a Fin handoff to a human billed?

Only when a Procedure you configured ends in that handoff; then it’s a $0.99 Procedure handoff. If the customer asks for a person, shows frustration or meets a workspace escalation rule, the escalation is free.

Do Lite seats cost anything?

No. Lite seats are free: 20 come with Advanced and 50 with Expert; Essential has none. They can’t reply to customers, so everyone who answers needs a Full seat.

Can I use Fin without the Intercom helpdesk?

Yes. Fin works with Salesforce, HubSpot, Freshdesk and other helpdesks for $0.99 per outcome with no Intercom seats, on a $49 monthly base plan that includes 50 outcomes. Fin for Sales and Fin for Ecommerce need an Intercom plan.
